Speaks Own Mind: Them: Yes ___ No ___
My father never spoke poorly of anyone while I was present. He might have let down his guard and shared his negative opinions with my mother, but we never heard him speak so.
You might believe that he possessed an honorable trait in doing so, but I’m not completely convinced. We never knew where he stood on any issue, no matter how important they might be. Especially once we became adults. I believe it’s important to know whether people you care about are in line with you. At times, their perspective is a guiding force in directing you to better decisions.
There are those who take sharing their opinion too extremes too. There should be guidelines. Like when you witness a friend who is really screwing up their life, you wouldn’t let it go without notice. But you wouldn’t necessarily have to tell them everything that you don’t agree with.
